The CHOP Research Institute Office of Academic Training and Outreach Programs and Office of Faculty Development are happy to announce CHOP Research Institute will once again host its largest community-building event, CHOP Research Poster Day and Scientific Symposium, a two-day celebration of all-things-research.

The theme of the 2024 symposium is "Neuroscience 2024: Mechanisms and Emerging Therapies for Brain Disorders of Childhood” and will focus on the advancements that CHOP researchers have made in this exciting arena.

Joseph Gleeson, MD, Rady Professor, University of California San Diego and Director of Neuroscience Research at the Rady Children’s Institute for Genomic Medicine will provide the keynote address.

Ethan M. Goldberg, MD, PhD and Rebecca C. Ahrens-Nicklas, MD, PhD will co-chair the Scientific Symposium sessions. These talks will take place in the first floor auditorium at the Hub for Clinical Collaboration.

Participants can expect opportunities to interact and engage with colleagues at both CHOP and the University of Pennsylvania. Scientific presentations, a reception, and an award ceremony will be supplemented with additional time to network. All are welcome to attend.

All members of the CHOP community who are conducting research are welcome to participate in the 31st Annual CHOP Research Poster Day. Poster sessions will take place on both April 30 and May 1 in the Colket Translational Research Building Lobby.

Abstract Submission

Abstract submission will open in March and is required for participation in the poster sessions.

The two-day event will be followed by a reception and poster awards ceremony in the Hub for Clinical Collaboration Lobby.
