Next Steps into Adolescence - Feb. 29, 2024
2716 South Street
Philadelphia, PA 19146
United States
This workshop is geared toward parents, caregivers, and professionals supporting individuals with autism who are between the ages of 9 and 15 years.
As children approach and enter the teenage years, they must deal with physical growth spurts, mindboggling hormone releases, and ever-changing and challenging social relationships. For pre-adolescent children with autism, these already complicated physical and social changes may be compounded by the difficulties of reading social cues and understanding the behaviors of others.
The cost is $10, but please reach out if this causes a financial hardship. The cost of the session does not include parking, which is available in the visitor's lot at a reduced rate.
Requests for language interpreter or other accommodation services must be received three weeks in advance of the workshop.
Please note this workshop is being planned as an in-person event, but could transition to a virtual workshop, to be held during the same time and date. Participants will be given ample notice.
Please contact Susannah Reimer at horners@chop.edu or (267) 426-4910 with questions.
