The CHOP Diversity Symposium Lecture Series presents:

The Future of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility from the NIH Perspective

Keynote Speaker

Marie Bernard, MD
Chief Officer for Scientific Workforce Diversity (COSWD) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH)

Dr. Bernard will describe the data that supports the need for diverse perspectives in biomedical and behavioral science. She will then describe the most recent activities of the Chief Officer for Scientific Workforce Diversity Office and the NIH UNITE initiative. At the conclusion of this presentation, attendees will be able to describe the evidence in support of diverse perspectives in biomedical and behavioral research and opportunities for funding to foster those perspectives.
