About Dr. Jenna Reece
Jenna Reece, MD, is a fellow in Clinical Informatics with a Pathology concentration at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She is a pathologist trained in clinical pathology and transfusion medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Following her fellowship this summer, she will be an assistant professor in Clinical Pathology at UPenn. Her interests include operational informatics, quality improvement, harmonization, and user-centered design.
About the Talk
This session describes operational work on emergency blood ordering for the blood bank at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Relevant topics include user-centered iterative design for clinical decision support, and human factors engineering for emergency situations.
