Wanjikũ Njoroge, MD, studies the joint effects of the pandemic and syndemic conditions like structural racism on a mother’s mental health and their young child’s early development.

Parent involvement is critical in child language development, learning and literacy.

Dr. Njoroge’s research focuses on prevention, promotion, and early intervention, highlighting the intersection of culture/race/ethnicity on infant and parent psychosocial domains.
