Trainee Travel Award - American Society of Pediatric Nephrology (ASPN) / Pediatric Academic Societies (PAS) Meeting

The CHOP Pediatric Center of Excellence in Nephrology (CHOP PCEN) is pleased to support the CHOP PCEN Trainee Travel Award to sponsor a pediatrics trainee to attend the American Society of Pediatric Nephrology (ASPN) / Pediatric Academic Societies (PAS) in Toronto, Canada from May 2-6, 2024. Applications for the Trainee Travel Award are now open and due on April 1, 2024.

Award details

  • The CHOP PCEN will reimburse up to $1,000 to support travel/lodging for at least one trainee.
  • A CHOP Nephrology faculty member will provide mentorship to the trainee before/during the PAS/ASPN meeting.
  • If selected, applicants must commit to attend the entire meeting.

Application process

Please submit the following documents to Sarah Green (greens10@chop.edu) and Erum Hartung, MD (hartunge@chop.edu) via email by April 1, 2024:

  • Curriculum vitae
  • One page statement describing your interest and possible career plans in pediatric nephrology

Additional award opportunity

  • In addition to applying for the CHOP PCEN Trainee Travel Award, we encourage applicants to concurrently apply for a travel award through ASPN.
  • ASPN provides stipends to partially support travel ($400) and complimentary registration on a competitive basis.
  • Applicants must be medical students, pediatric residents, chief residents, or med-peds residents currently enrolled in an ACGME-accredited pediatric residency program.
