The Scott Gordon Lab team studies the immune system in the context of pregnancy and beyond, working with a combination of mouse models and human cells. To answer our questions, we lean on a variety of classical and novel techniques, such as multi-parameter flow cytometry and cell sorting, basic and flow-based biochemistry, (congenital) infectious models, ELISA, and bulk and single-cell transcriptomics, to name a few.

Dr. Gordon, a basic immunologist and an attending physician in the Division of Neonatology at CHOP, leads the Lab. He hopes to improve pre-, peri-, and postnatal outcomes for moms and babies by better understanding the immunology of the maternal-fetal interface.
