He has extensive experience in the conduct of multicenter clinical trials, having served as a site principal investigator for several funded, multicenter randomized trials of interventions aimed at improving outcomes of premature newborns.
Dr. Rice’s research interests are in the field of environmental science and premature lung disease. She is the recipient of an NIH K23 Mentored Patient-Oriented Research Career Development award to study the effects of indoor air pollution on respiratory outcomes in preterm infants.
Dr. DeMauro has special expertise in rigorous assessment of early childhood outcomes of high-risk neonates. Her research focuses on improving outcomes of children with bronchopulmonary dysplasia and school-age assessment of functional outcomes in preterm-born children.
Dr. White develops novel optical functional neuroimaging systems and algorithms to better understand pediatric neuronal injury. His research includes optical intrinsic signal imaging, diffuse optical tomography, and resting-state functional connectivity.
Dr. Duncan's main research interest is in long-term medical and neurodevelopmental outcomes of NICU graduates. She evaluates executive functioning and brain connectivity in high-risk infants and infants with cerebral palsy and researches parenting style in high-risk infant development.
