Mustafa Mir, PhD
Mustafa Mir, PhD

Dr. Mir develops and applies advanced fluorescence microscopy and single molecule imaging methods to study the dynamics of nuclear organization and transcriptional regulation during early embryonic development.

Kai Tan, PhD
Kai Tan

Dr. Tan studies transcriptional regulation during normal development and disease. This involves the interplay of multiple transcription and epigenetic factors in a 3D chromosomal environment. Using experimental genomics and computational modeling, Dr. Tan investigates transcriptional regulatory networks underlying embryonic hematopoiesis, T cell differentiation, and pediatric leukemia.

Paul Gadue, PhD
Paul Gadue

Dr. Gadue studies cell fate decisions, focusing on endoderm and mesoderm specification using human embryonic stem (ES) cells and induced pluripotent stem (iPS).

Colin Conine, PhD
Colin C. Conine

Dr. Conine works to understand the functions of small RNAs in reproduction, epigenetic inheritance, and development. His research focuses on how small RNAs in sperm transmit epigenetic information to offspring, as well as their involvement in male fertility.

E-mail:

Stewart A. Anderson, MD
Stewart A. Anderson

Dr. Anderson’s research interests focus on the molecular and cellular mechanisms that govern the development of the mammalian forebrain. In his research on the development of the cerebral cortex, he is particularly interested in understanding the molecular underpinnings behind the fate determination and axon targeting of subclasses of GABAergic interneurons implicated in the neuropathology of schizophrenia.

Hyun-Duck Nah-Cederquist, DMD, MSD, PhD
Hyun-Duck Nah-Cederquist

Dr. Nah-Cederquist investigates solutions to clinical problems in pediatric plastic surgery. Her lab is built around the strengths of CHOP's clinical practices and basic science research. This offers the unique opportunity to directly test hypotheses born from clinical problems in the laboratory, and to take new technologies and concepts developed in the laboratory to patient care.

Eric Chien-Wei Liao, MD, PhD
Eric Chien-Wei Liao, MD, PhD

Dr. Liao is a pediatric plastic surgeon-scientist and the founding director of the Center for Craniofacial Innovation at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. His research leverages convergent advances in fetal care, human genetics, and developmental biology to initiate first-in-child trials and treatments.
