Michael B. Robinson, PhD
Michael B. Robinson

Dr. Robinson has a longstanding research interest in the function and regulation of brain glutamate transport under physiologic and pathologic conditions.

E-mail:
robinson [at] pennmedicine.upenn.edu
Sarah K. Tasian, MD
Sarah K. Tasian

Dr. Tasian's research centers on the bench-to-bedside investigation of precision medicine therapies for high-risk childhood leukemias.

tasians [at] chop.edu
Kristina A. Cole, MD, PhD
Kristina A. Cole

Dr. Cole is a pediatric neuro-oncologist who has dedicated her career to translational and clinical research, combining her expertise in molecular pathology, cancer genomics, and developmental therapeutics to identify novel treatments for children with cancer.

E-mail:
colek [at] chop.edu
Ana G. Cristancho, MD, PhD
Ana G. Cristancho

Dr. Cristancho is a child neurologist specializing in Fetal and Neonatal Neurology. Her research focuses on understanding the mechanisms that regulate the extent of disabilities some kids have after prenatal and neonatal brain injury. Her goal is to help develop novel therapeutic interventions.

E-mail:
cristanchoa [at] chop.edu
Susan R. Rheingold, MD
Susan R. Rheingold

Dr. Rheingold's research interests center on acute lymphocytic leukemia, and she serves on the Children's Oncology Group's Relapsed ALL, Infant ALL, and Complementary Therapies committees. In addition, she is investigates complementary and alternative therapies, supportive care for oncology patients undergoing chemotherapy, medical education, and rare childhood tumors.

E-mail:
rheingold [at] chop.edu
Elizabeth J.K. Bhoj, MD PhD
Elizabeth J.K. Bhoj

Dr. Bhoj's genetics research aims to discover new human disease genes, their mechanisms, and potential targeted therapies. In addition to ongoing gene discovery efforts, Dr. Bhoj focuses on three novel genes that lead to pediatric neurologic dysfunction: TBC1 domain-containing kinase, Histone 3.3 (H3F3A and H3F3B), and MAP4K4.

E-mail:
bhoje [at] chop.edu
Sara B. DeMauro, MD, MSCE
Sara B. DeMauro, MD, MSCE

Dr. DeMauro has special expertise in rigorous assessment of early childhood outcomes of high-risk neonates. Her research focuses on improving outcomes of children with bronchopulmonary dysplasia and school-age assessment of functional outcomes in preterm-born children.

E-mail:
demauro [at] chop.edu
Sara E. Pinney, MD, MS
Sara E. Pinney

Dr. Pinney investigates the molecular mechanisms that link an adverse intrauterine milieu to the development of diabetes and obesity later in life. Specifically, she is researching how intrauterine growth restriction, gestational diabetes and in utero exposure to environmental toxicants contribute to the development of diabetes and obesity in offspring.
