Wei Tong, PhD
Wei Tong

Dr. Tong investigates cytokine receptor signaling in normal and neoplastic hematopoietic development. She uses integrated approaches encompassing biochemistry, molecular biology, mouse models, and primary human samples to understand signaling events emanating from cytokine receptors that regulate the development of hematopoietic stem/progenitor cells.

Robert O. Heuckeroth, MD, PhD
Robert O. Heuckeroth

Dr. Heuckeroth investigates mechanisms controlling bowel motility in order to find new ways to treat, diagnose, and prevent intestinal motility disorders. His research is focused on enteric nervous system and smooth muscle biology as he works to find new ways to improve the lives of children with bowel motility disorders.

Carolyn A. Felix, MD
Carolyn A. Felix

Dr. Felix uses molecular, biochemical, cellular and in vivo methods to investigate the pathobiology of leukemias with KMT2A (MLL) translocations. Leukemias with these translocations affect infants and young children or occur as a complication of type II topoisomerase (TOP2) poison chemotherapies used for anti-cancer treatment. She aims to develop better treatment and prevention approaches for these leukemias, which have a poor prognosis.

Adda Grimberg, MD
Adda Grimberg

Dr. Grimberg investigates the growth hormone (GH)/insulin-like growth factor (IGF)-I axis and clinical issues related to child growth. Her recent research is focused on disparities in, and the decision-making related to, the medical management of children with short stature. She is fascinated by how differential societal pressures for tallness and the advent of an expensive therapeutic have transformed a fundamental aspect of pediatric healthcare.
