Guilherme Nader, PhD
Guilherme P.F. Nader

Dr. Nader is an assistant professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at CHOP. His research topics are focused on the nuclear mechano-sensing of cells that grow and move within dense microenvironments such as tumor microenvironment, interstitial space, or densely packed tissue.

Will Bailis, PhD
Will Bailis

Dr. Bailis aims to understand how metabolism underlies immunology and disease, by controlling the biochemistry of cells and tissues. His lab does so using in vitro and in vivo CRISPR engineering of primary human and mouse immune cells, with the goal of developing diet and metabolite based therapies.

Fanxin Long, PhD
Fanxin Long

Bone disorders exact a considerable toll on human health in both children and adults. Dr. Long seeks to understand the fundamental mechanisms underlying both normal skeletal development and the pathophysiology of bone diseases. His current research includes studies of skeletal stem cells and progenitors, metabolic regulation of bone cells, and the integration of bone and whole-body metabolism.

Wanding Zhou, PhD
Wanding Zhou

Dr. Zhou’s outstanding research interests include mitosis-coupled DNA methylation drift and inference of cell-type-specific epigenetic signals. He developed multiple computational tools for analyzing DNA methylation data and has actively contributed to cancer genomics data analysis.

Véronique Lefebvre, PhD
Véronique Lefebvre

Dr. Lefebvre investigates the genetic mechanisms that generate the diversity of cell types composing the body. Her emphasis is on deciphering how proteins called SOX transcription factors specify stem cells and highly specialized cells in the skeleton, how changes in these factors cause skeletal diseases, and how these factors also control other processes, including brain development and intellectual disability diseases.

Michael Chorny, PhD
Michael Chorny

Dr. Chorny's research program focuses on nanomedicines as well as drug, cell, and gene delivery systems for treating proliferative disease. His current research specifically focuses on the use of nanoparticle-mediated delivery to solid tumors and site-specific delivery for cardiovascular disease.

Stewart A. Anderson, MD
Stewart A. Anderson

Dr. Anderson’s research interests focus on the molecular and cellular mechanisms that govern the development of the mammalian forebrain. In his research on the development of the cerebral cortex, he is particularly interested in understanding the molecular underpinnings behind the fate determination and axon targeting of subclasses of GABAergic interneurons implicated in the neuropathology of schizophrenia.

Robert O. Heuckeroth, MD, PhD
Robert O. Heuckeroth

Dr. Heuckeroth investigates mechanisms controlling bowel motility in order to find new ways to treat, diagnose, and prevent intestinal motility disorders. His research is focused on enteric nervous system and smooth muscle biology as he works to find new ways to improve the lives of children with bowel motility disorders.

Adda Grimberg, MD
Adda Grimberg

Dr. Grimberg investigates the growth hormone (GH)/insulin-like growth factor (IGF)-I axis and clinical issues related to child growth. Her recent research is focused on disparities in, and the decision-making related to, the medical management of children with short stature. She is fascinated by how differential societal pressures for tallness and the advent of an expensive therapeutic have transformed a fundamental aspect of pediatric healthcare.
