Research Opportunities with the Radiology Clinical Research Core
Radiology Research Scholar
Radiology Research Scholars are recent International Medical Graduates (IMGs) with some research experience. Scholars are in this role for 2 years with salary support. Radiology Research Scholars will support research activities of the physicians in the Department of Radiology. They will assist clinical investigators with ongoing retrospective and prospective research studies in various radiology sections, with research activities such as data collection, image processing, data analysis and manuscript writing for publication. They will assist with completing and submitting forms to the Institutional Review Board, maintain project databases and spreadsheets for new and existing projects, complete literature searches, and present at conferences.

Radiology Research Fellow
Radiology Research Fellows are International Medical Graduates (IMGs) who are practicing Radiologists in their home country. They are completing this research fellowship with CHOP's Department of Radiology with the goal of transitioning to a Pediatric Radiology Clinical Fellowship at CHOP or another institution. This is designed for IMGs aiming for radiology board certification in collaboration with the American Board of Radiology (ABR) through the Alternate Pathway. Fellows are in this role for 2 years with salary support.
Research Fellows will, under the direction and guidance of a mentor, assume responsibility for a specific, on-going research project. The Radiology Research Fellow experience will serve to extend, refine and enhance skills necessary for professional and career development, and will enable the individual to broaden their scientific background by acquiring new research capabilities. It is expected that this individual will conduct independent scholarly research and will contribute directly to the overall research goals of the project and the research group. The Radiology Research Fellow will be expected to participate in project planning, recording and evaluation of data, and communication of results. Radiology Research Fellows will also be expected to acquire technical, lab management, and manuscript/grant writing skills. They will participate in seminars, lectures, poster sessions and presentations at national meetings.
