PKIDS Care Improvement Network Results
The Pediatric KIDney Stone (PKIDS) Care Improvement Network research study compared stone clearance and patients’ experiences for the three existing surgical treatments to remove stones: ureteroscopy, shockwave lithotripsy, and percutaneous nephrolithotomy.
Principal Investigator Gregory Tasian published results at the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute, which funded the three-year study, Comparing Approaches to Treat Kidney Stones in Children and Youth--The PKIDS Study.
