Bio

Dr. Reid's area of education and research interest is in adaptive learning as a solution to the challenges of information overload and lack of filtering to optimize performance and support mastery of the specialty.

Dr. Reid has created a robust Learning Management System (LMS) called RADIAL – Radiology's Intelligent Adaptive Learning. RADIAL contains 300 interactive courses arranged in 12 subspecialty-based curricula, with three skills-based stand-alone apps all accessible from any computer or mobile device.

The LMS includes all content needed at point-of-care to work, teach, and learn at the workplace. Formulated heavily on the principles of millennial learning, the content is designed to be accessible, focused, current, and of the highest quality. There is a heavy focus on video-based "micro-content" that can be completed in 10 minutes or less.

Dr. Reid's vision is to integrate RADIAL into a one-stop model for all of the information systems and applications used to assist in the interpretation and just-in-time teaching of complex image interpretation. The next project phase employs learner navigation analytics to develop student learning algorithms that support adaptive iterative learning and promote mastery in pediatric radiology.

Dr. Reid holds dual board certification in Pediatric Radiology and Radiology. She serves as reviewer for Pediatric Radiology, American Journal of Roentgenology, Journal of Imaging Science, and Pediatric Emergency Care, and is an editorial board member for Pediatric Radiology. She has been invited to give over 100 lectures both nationally and internationally.
