During her postdoctoral training at CIRP and at the University of Pennsylvania Injury Science Center, she worked on projects related to the impact of decals on compliance with Graduated Driver Licensing requirements, licensing and crash rates among older drivers, and the impact of neighborhood exposures and returning to work on the long-term impacts of injury in the urban setting.

Dr. Palumbo is an epidemiologist whose research focuses primarily on measuring social exposures that contribute to health outcomes. Prior to pursuing her PhD, she was an Applied Epidemiology Fellow through the Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists.
