Welcome to the Non-Traditional Personnel Office

The Research Non-Traditional Personnel (NTP) Office is responsible for the on-boarding and off-boarding of collaborators, students, interns and visiting scholars (also referred to as “NTPs”) who supports CHOP mission of advancing health care for children by promoting innovative research and creating breakthroughs every day.

The NTP Office have established a set of definitions, policies, and procedures to guide the involvement of NTP’s in CHOP’s research programs and to ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations. Each type of NTP is on-boarded and off-boarded differently based on the role, activities and responsibilities the NTP will be engaged in and to ensure that those activities do not violate any federal or state laws.
