In honor of Diversity Month, the Research Institute is hosting the first annual Diversity Symposium. This is a time for the research community to come together and reflect on the importance of diversity, and to highlight opportunities to make science more diverse, equitable, and accessible to all. Dr. Platt will address systemic barriers impeding underrepresented minorities in STEM, and discuss methods to counteract the overt and implicit barriers contributing to this phenomenon.
