Continuing our discussion on communication skills for children's environmental health from Part 1 in February, Sharon McGrath-Morrow, MBA, MD of CHOP will look at her work Communicating Asthma Prevention to Patients.

Attendance at Part 1 is not required to attend Part 2.

Dr. Sharon McGrath-Morrow is associate chief of the Division of Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine and leader of the Post-preemie Lung Disease Clinic at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Her research seeks to link early life events with adult lung health and biomarker discovery for future trials.
She is an NIH-funded investigator studying the effects of neonatal lung injuries and infections on lung immune responses, alveolar growth, and adult pulmonary outcomes. Her research centers around the the effect of early life events on postnatal lung development. Her clinical research is focused on preterm children with chronic lung disease and pulmonary hypertension.

Dr. McGrath-Morrow is an executive and founding member of the BPD collaborative which includes neonatologists, pulmonologists, and other healthcare professionals throughout the United States and internationally, with the mission to improve lifelong outcomes of babies with severe bronchopulmonary dysplasia.
