Contrast-Enhanced Ultrasound Evaluation of Bowel Perfusion in Necrotizing Enterocolitis
This study is now recruiting.
The goal of this study is to develop ultrasound techniques that assess blood supply to the intestines using an investigational contrast agent. Our hope is to contribute to early diagnosis and improved outcomes.

Eligibility & Criteria
Evaluation of Bowel Perfusion with Contrast-Enhanced Ultrasound in Necrotizing Enterocolitis
Eligible Age Range:
0 - 18 Months
After biparental consent, your child will receive a contrast agent through an intravenous line.
Your child will have up to two abdominal ultrasounds at the bedside:
- At time of diagnosis/enrollment
- Approximately 1-2 weeks after the first ultrasound
Compensation will be provided.
