Pilot and Feasibility Applications Are Open

Children's Hospital of Philadelphia's Pediatric Center of Excellence in Nephrology seeks applications for one-year pilot and feasibility research projects relevant to pediatric kidney disease or health. Awardees are expected to generate preliminary data to support future research applications.

PI Eligibility

Early-stage investigators, new investigators, or established investigators not previously involved in pediatric nephrology research or pursuing a new direction are invited to apply. The pilot and feasibility program and funds are not intended to support or supplement ongoing research of an established investigator.

Amount for Award

Maximum funding level is $50,000 in direct costs for one year, with one optional no-cost extension, for selected research projects. The funding period will be Dec. 1, 2024, through Nov. 30, 2025.

  • Intent to Apply Surveys are due by 5 p.m. Friday, June 14, 2024
  • Invitations to submit full applications with be issued by 5 p.m. Friday, June 28, 2024
  • Full applications are due by 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, 2024
