Data Science Workshop with University of Botswana
CHOP's Global Health Informatics Program is proud to collaborate with the University of Botswana in hosting a Workshop on Data Science for Healthcare Professionals.
This workshop is designed to support those in Botswana who work with healthcare data and data science. The workshop will cover basic data science, medical informatics concepts, and Python for analyzing, reporting, and displaying healthcare data. Participants will have the opportunity to work with datasets and apply the techniques learned during the workshop in their day-to-day work. Additionally, the workshop will provide an opportunity for participants to network with other healthcare professionals and data scientists, fostering collaboration and innovation in the field.
The workshop is aimed at members from the Ministry of Health, District Health Management Team (DHMT), Botswana UPENN partnership, and healthcare providers.
Our goal is to equip participants with the knowledge and skills required to effectively analyze and manage healthcare data using cutting-edge data science techniques to improve patient care.
The University’s eHealth Research Unit is hosting and sponsoring this workshop, which will feature lectures by renowned experts in the field.
